A Willard City Municipal Election will be held on November 7, 2023, to elect three Council members, each to serve a four-year term. A primary election, if needed, will be held on August 15, 2023.
The following proposition will be included on the ballot:
- Shall Willard City, Utah, be authorized to repeal the one-quarter of one percent (0.25%) sales and use tax for the purchase of real property for UTA’s frontrunner project in Perry City?

NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL OFFICES TO BE VOTED ON
IN THE WILLARD CITY MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 7, 2023,
AND THE DATES FOR FILING A DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY FOR THE OFFICES
NOW IS THE TIME TO BE INVOLVED IN YOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT. Pursuant to Section 10-3-301 of the
Utah State Code, notice is hereby given that the Municipal Offices in Willard City, Utah to be voted on in
the 2023 Municipal General Election are as follows:
City Council Members (Three Offices) - Each seat serves a 4-year term
The Candidate filing period is June 1 – 7, 2023
Each person seeking to become a candidate for office must file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with
the Recorder’s office, at 80 West 50 South, before 5:00 p.m. on June 7th. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00
p.m., Monday thru Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday (with on-call availability until 5:00 p.m.).
There is no filing fee. No applications can be received after 5:00 p.m. on June 7th.
Qualifications for a candidate are (Utah Code Section 20A-9-203):
1. Be a registered voter of the municipality
2. Be a resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of
the election
3. Cannot have been convicted of a felony, treason, or crime relating to elections
4. Cannot have been declared mentally incompetent
